A Busy 3 Weeks
Well for the last 3 weeks we have had different visitors every week! My dad and stepmom were here for their birthdays the last week in February. Following them was Ryan's best friend Jacob. And then Patti and Allan came and just flew back today. Let me just say that we are sad to go back to eating homecooked meals!..but then again we are excited to get back into our exercise schedule. With my dad and Rochelle we went out to some of the best restaurants and enjoyed watching the sailboats race in the 27th Annual Heineken Regatta. You would not believe how many boats were out on the water.. it was a sight to see! Then the last night they were there, Jacob showed up to spend a week with Ryan. I didn't get to see much of either of them because I was studying for 3 upcoming exams. They seemed to have tons of fun. The went snorkeling, fishing, day trip to Anguilla, and even stood at the end of the runway as the 737's took off! It was definitely interesting living with 2 boys for a week...
Then Patti and Allan came. I didn't see them much at the start of their trip b/c of tests, but was still able to do some shopping, beach time, and of course fine dining! It was fun seeing everyone and made us feel very appreciative that so many people found the time to come see us. Now I have 5 weeks left of second semester! I can't believe it has come and gone so fast. Literally I have 2 rounds of tests left..crazy! Then we get to go to New York. That will be a great anniversary gift. That's right..we have already come upon our 1 year wedding anniversary! Oh how fast things happen.
Everything with school is good..hard, but good. Since I last wrote I have taken on 2 new titles: I ran for American Medical School Association (AMSA) President and got the position! And, as of last Wednesday I am a Suture Instructor! Not only do I get to boss people around now, but I know how to show students how to suture a Vertical Mattress, Simple Interrupted, Simple Continuous, and Subcuticular! It's lots of fun. Can't wait to practice on a live person...any volunteers?!
